Learning Objectives

By the end of this Mat Pilates Instructor program, the learner will be able to:

• Explain the history, philosophy, and principles of Pilates (concentration, control, centering, precision, breath, flow)
• Demonstrate understanding of mind–body integration in Mat Pilates practice
• Identify key musculoskeletal structures involved in Mat Pilates exercises
• Explain the role of the core, pelvic floor, and breathing in movement efficiency and stability
• Demonstrate proper execution of beginner, intermediate, and advanced Mat Pilates exercises
• Teach safe and effective exercise transitions and sequencing
• Apply correct breathing patterns specific to Pilates methodology
• Deliver clear verbal, visual, and tactile cues to enhance performance and safety
• Design and lead structured Mat Pilates classes for group and one-on-one settings
• Modify Mat Pilates exercises for different fitness levels, body types, and movement limitations
• Use props and small apparatus (e.g., bands, balls, rings) to support or challenge participants
• Maintain professional standards, ethics, and scope of practice as a Pilates instructor

Prerequisite(s)

• Should be able to read, understand and write basic English
• Should be over 18 years of age at the time of enrollment
• Must have Aadhar card
• Must have access to a tablet and/or laptop or smartphone
