Learning Objectives

By the end of this program, the learner will be able to:

• Understand the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, labour, and postpartum recovery
• Identify hormonal changes related to pregnancy and postpartum periods.
• Recognize contraindications and warning signs requiring exercise modification or cessation
• Ensure safe exercise environments and appropriate intensity monitoring
• Design safe, effective, and evidence-based exercise programs for each trimester of pregnancy
• Incorporate breathing techniques and neuromuscular control into training sessions
• Support clients through physical and emotional changes, including postnatal fatigue and body image considerations
• Work within professional scope of practice and ethical standards

Prerequisite(s)

• Should be able to read, understand and write basic English
• Should be over 18 years of age at the time of enrollment
• Must have Aadhar card
• Must have access to a tablet and/or laptop or smartphone
• FSSA Personal Trainer qualification or equivalent recognised and/or accredited certification/qualification or higher qualification is required as a prerequisite if the exercise professional wants to deliver personal training sessions with pregnant and postpartum clients.
