Learning Objectives

By the end of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Understand pathophysiology, symptoms, and functional limitations associated with common special populations
  • Explain how chronic disease, disability, aging, and medical conditions affect exercise response and performance
  • Conduct comprehensive health screening and pre-participation assessments (e.g., PAR-Q+, health history, functional movement)
  • Identify absolute and relative contraindications to exercise participation
  • Classify clients according to risk levels and determine when medical clearance or referral is required
  • Design safe, effective, and individualized exercise programs for special populations, including (But not limited to): [PLEASE SEE THE COURSE CONTENT]
    • Older adults
    • Metabolic disorders (diabetes, obesity)
    • Neurological and cognitive conditions
  • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms requiring program modification or cessation

• Should be able to read, understand and write basic English
• Should be over 18 years of age at the time of enrollment
• Must have Aadhar card
