Learning Objectives

By the end of this Group Exercise Instructor program, the learner will be able to:

• Understand the role and responsibilities of a group exercise instructor
• Explain the benefits of group exercise for cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, and mental well-being
• Demonstrate knowledge of common group exercise formats (aerobic, strength, mind–body, dance-based)

• Use music to enhance motivation, flow, and participant enjoyment.
• Conduct basic participant screening and class readiness checks
• Recognize contraindications and warning signs during exercise
• Modify exercises to reduce injury risk and accommodate varied abilities.
• Provide regressions and progressions for different fitness levels
• Create inclusive environments for participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds
• Maintain professional conduct, ethics, and scope of practice

• Should be able to read, understand and write basic English
• Should be over 18 years of age at the time of enrollment
• Must have Aadhar card
• Must have access to a tablet and/or laptop or smartphone
